Somelos is a family-owned business that can be found in the north of Portugal, near Guimarães. It was founded in 1958 and rapidly grew to a fully vertical company. By 1974 dyeing and finishing fabrics was also done on the premises. The company is always searching for creative innovation in reducing its ecological footprint. Together we work tenaciously to create more sustainable fabrics for our garments that still meet the same quality standards. Outside of the factory Somelos also pushes their ethos. They have planted over 1000 trees and has installed 2512 solar panels on their land. Many are still to come!
